Local distribution system (LDS)
A Local Distribution System (LDS) is a distribution system as defined by Act No. 251/2012 Coll. on Energy, to which no more than 100,000 delivery points are connected. It serves for the local distribution of electricity within defined areas such as city districts, industrial parks, or villages.
The LDS operator is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and contractual connection of delivery points and must comply with legal requirements for conducting business in the energy sector.
