Solar energy

Solar energy is energy derived from sunlight that reaches the Earth in the form of light and heat. Using special technologies, it can be converted into electrical or thermal energy. The most common applications include photovoltaics - solar panels that convert sunlight directly into electricity – and solar thermal collectors or concentrated solar power (CSP) systems used for heat generation.

Solar energy is a clean, renewable, and virtually inexhaustible energy source that produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation. Thanks to rapid technological advancements, it is now one of the most accessible methods of generating electricity from renewable sources.

Solar energy is one of the renewable energy sources and serves as a key pillar in the transition to a low-carbon energy system.
